What is the GreenTech Explorer?
As part of Sustainable Finance Daily´s vision, we promote all kind of businesses which have sustainability at its core (so called green tech or climate tech companies) with our offering “GreenTech Explorer”.

In order to achieve this goal, we created the GreenTech Explorer. All companies listed below have one commonality: They all contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in one way or the other.
Explore the GreenTech Map
The GreenTech Explorer allows you to explore innovative companies around the globe. These companies develop solutions for the most pressing challenges of humanity such a climate change mitigation and adaptation, preserving biodiversity and many more. You can either filter by technology category or just explore the map on your own. Furthermore, the search functionality allows you find a company by its SDG contribution.

Greentech companies are companies that employ technology and creativity to create sustainable solutions for environmental issues, such as lowering carbon emissions, conserving natural resources, and promoting renewable energy sources. Sometimes they are also called “cleantech” or “clean technology” enterprises. By creating and deploying technologies that lessen the detrimental effects of human activities on the environment, these businesses seek to build a more sustainable future.
Categories of the GreenTech Explorer map

Decarbonization: This category on GreenTech companies focuses on all types of technology with the goal to decarbonize or to capture carbon emissions.
Data technology: Data can be a powerful tool. Companies active in the area contribute to the sustainability efforts by collecting and analyzing data to make solve problems.
Electric vehicles: The category of electric vehicles focuses on the entire supply chain of manufacturing alternative drive technologies. Furthermore, making existing electic vehicles more efficient is also an important focus of companies active in this category.
Alternative energy: Alternative energy mainly comprises wind, water and solar energy production.
Sustainable agriculture: Sustainable agriculture is a way of farming that combines environmental health with economic profitability. It focuses on avoiding soil exhaustion, the reduction of methane emissions by animals as well as on cultivating food substitutes.
Waste management: Waste management solutions focus on recycling materials or on developping new materials which create significantly less waste.
Sustainable finance: Sustainable Finance refers to all kind of activities in financial- and insurance industry with a link to sustainability (lending, investing, asset management, banking, financing).
